Chocolate Yorkies are one of the most beloved rare-color Yorkie variations because their coloring is so warm, rich, and distinctive. Dr. Taylor’s experience with European Chocolate Yorkie lines revealed something very important: many European chocolate lines tend to carry deeper, richer, darker coloring than many American chocolate lines. In her experience, European chocolates often maintain more depth of color as they mature, while many American chocolates may lighten or fade significantly over time. That rich coloring is part of what makes our chocolate lines so striking, but it is only one piece of the story.
